Job summary

This role involves providing patient care to adults and geriatrics and scrub duties for invasive cardiac and vascular procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess certifications such as ARRT/RCIS/RCES or equivalent, with BLS and ACLS, and will obtain advanced specialty certification within two years

Qualifications

• Must understand cardiac rhythm interpretation.
• Must obtain advanced specialty certification within two years of hire.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during electrophysiology procedures and related cardiac interventions.
• Provide patient care to adult and geriatric patients.
• Scrub for invasive cardiac and vascular procedures as needed.

Assists physicians during electrophysiology procedures, pacemaker/ICD insertions, radiofrequency ablation, and other miscellaneous procedures required by operating the electrophysiology recorder, hemodynamic monitoring computer and/or scrubbing for invasive cardiac and vascular procedures. Provides patient care to adult and geriatric patients.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

• Must possess one (1) of the following: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), IBHRE, CEPS (Certified Electrophysiology Specialist) and/or prior applicable training/experience in invasive cardiology and/or electrophysiology.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Thorough knowledge of cardiac arrhythmia interpretation.
• Must obtain advanced specialty certification within two years of hire date.
