Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a skilled cardiovascular technologist to assist during interventional procedures in our cath lab. You will scrub and operate monitoring equipment, supporting physicians during cardiac caths, pacemaker/ICD insertions, and EP cases. Adult and geriatric patient care is required.

ARRT or RCIS certification is preferred; various pathways accepted. Qualified candidates have 1 year interventional experience or 2 years diagnostic lab experience, or an allied health degree

Qualifications

• 1 year interventional cath/radiology experience
• 2 years diagnostic lab (cath/radiology) experience
• Associate’s Degree in Health Science
• Completion of an accredited Technology program (CVT/Radiology with appropriate specialization)

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during cardiac cath procedures, pacemaker/ICD insertions, electrophysiology.
• Operate physiologic/hemodynamic monitoring equipment or scrub for invasive cardiac and vascular procedures.
• Provide patient care to adult and geriatric patients.

Assists physicians during cardiac cath procedures, pacemaker/ICD insertions, electrophysiology, and other miscellaneous procedures by operating the physiologic / hemodynamic monitoring computer and/or scrubbing for invasive cardiac and vascular procedures. Provides patient care to adult and geriatric patients.

Required

• Education/Experience:
  • 1 year prior Interventional experience (Cath/Radiology) OR
  • 2 years prior diagnostic lab experience (Cath/Radiology) OR
  • Associate’s Degree in a Health Science Program OR
  • Completion of an accredited Technology program (CVT/Radiology with appropriate specialization)
• Certification:
  • ARRT OR
  • RCIS

Preferred

• Minimum of four (4) years recent experience in interventional cardiac cath lab and Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
