Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. in Georgia seeks an EP Lab Technician to support physicians during electrophysiology procedures, pacemaker/ICD insertions, radiofrequency ablation, and related invasive cardiac work.

Responsibilities include scrubbing and patient care for adults and geriatric patients. Required certifications include ARRT/RCIS/RCES/IBHRE or equivalent, BLS and ACLS, with solid knowledge of cardiac arrhythmia interpretation.

Qualifications

• Must possess one of ARRT, RCIS, RCES, IBHRE, CEPS or related invasive cardiology/electrophysiology training.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Thorough knowledge of cardiac arrhythmia interpretation.

Responsibilities

Assists physicians during electrophysiology procedures, pacemaker/ICD insertions, radiofrequency ablation, and other miscellaneous procedures required by operating the electrophysiology recorder, hemodynamic monitoring computer and/or scrubbing for invasive cardiac and vascular procedures. Provides patient care to adult and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

• Must possess one (1) of the following: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), IBHRE, CEPS (Certified Electrophysiology Specialist) and/or prior applicable training/experience in invasive cardiology and/or electrophysiology.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Thorough knowledge of cardiac arrhythmia interpretation.
• Must obtain advanced specialty certification within two years of hire date.
