Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a skilled staff member to support physicians during cardiac cath procedures, pacemaker/ICD insertions, and electrophysiology cases. The role requires operating physiologic/hemodynamic monitoring equipment and scrubbing for invasive cardiac and vascular procedures, while delivering patient care to adults and geriatrics.

Candidates may come with one year of interventional experience or two years in diagnostic radiology, or an associate degree in a health science

Qualifications

• Clinical interventional experience in cath/radiology settings.
• Certification requirements ARRT or RCIS within 2 years.
• Associates degree in health science or CVT/radiology program completed.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during cardiac cath procedures, pacemaker/ICD insertions and electrophysiology procedures by operating physiologic/hemodynamic monitoring equipment and scrubbing for invasive cardiac/vascular procedures.
• Provide patient care to adult and geriatric patients.

Education

Associates Degree in a Health Science Program

Completion of an accredited CVT/Radiology Technology program with appropriate specialization

ARRT certification

RCIS certification within two years of hire

Provides patient care to adult and geriatric patients.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

Education/Experience:

1. 1. One (1) year prior Interventional experience (Cath/Radiology) OR
   2. Two (2) years prior diagnostic lab experience (Cath/Radiology) OR
   3. Associates Degree in a Health Science Program OR
   4. Completion of an accredited CVT/Radiology Technology program with appropriate specialization

AND

1. Certification
   1. American Registry or Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification OR
   2. Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification within two (2) years of hire or transition

OR

1. Three (3) years of prior Interventional experience (Cath/Radiology)
