Job summary

The City of Dallas is seeking a Supervisor-Electronics for the Utilities department to lead maintenance of electronic equipment across flood control and water pumping facilities. You will supervise non-exempt staff, schedule work, and ensure safe, compliant operations.

Responsibilities include supervising preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting electronics and analyzers, coordinating with teams, and enforcing performance standards while complying with regulations.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience in installation/testing/diagnosis/repair of instrumentation or related electronic equipment.
• Two (2) years of lead work or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise maintenance, repair and operation of electronics and electrical systems for water distribution.
• Prioritize tasks, schedule work orders, and set performance expectations.
• Hire, train, evaluate performance, and enforce discipline.
• Develop long-range plans and participate in budget/resource allocation.
• Troubleshoot electronic equipment and analyzers; calibrate and verify maintenance standards.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and coordinate maintenance activities.
