Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Troubleshooting Technician for a 12+ contract position in San Diego, CA. You will conduct extensive testing, diagnose both digital and analog circuits, and recommend repairs to restore production units to specification.

Responsibilities include setting up test equipment, calibrating units, logging detailed test data, and supporting root-cause investigations. Must have 4–6 years of relevant experience and a technical degree/certificate, with MS Word/Excel proficiency.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of related experience in production test and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read, understand and adhere to technical documents and procedures (schematics, drawings).
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate test equipment for production units.
• Calibrate and perform final functional tests for shipping units.
• Log test data: work order, model, serial, status and failure mode.
• Diagnose defects and perform component-level troubleshooting (analog/digital).
• Identify trends and support root-cause investigations.
• Inspect products for spec and cosmetic compliance.
