Job summary

HEICO is hiring a Test Technician to perform testing, debugging, and final testing of electronic products under supervision. You will troubleshoot to the component level, replace parts, and generate reports for engineering on issues found.

You will read blueprints and schematics, maintain calibration of test equipment, and document results while adhering to safety procedures. Overtime may be required to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• At least one year in electronic test or related field preferred.
• Associate degree or technical school certification in electronics required; bachelor’s preferred.
• Soldering certification preferred.
• Ability to read engineering blueprints and schematics.
• Knowledge of oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, and related test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial tests upon receiving electronic assemblies using established procedures.
• Solder inspection of assemblies (IPC 610 familiarity desirable).
• Troubleshoots assemblies to component level and replaces parts as needed.
• Generates problem reports and works with Engineering for resolution.
• Documents issues in writing and communicates with assemblers.
• Ensures calibration of test equipment and maintains QA systems.
• Reads blueprints, process sheets, and schematics; follows verbal and written instructions.
• Enters test data into logs and computer files; measures parts to spec.
• Labels products passing inspection and forwards to shipping/receiving.
• Maintains knowledge of products and QA procedures; adheres to safety rules.
• Communicates clearly with colleagues and supervisors; may work overtime as needed.
