Job summary

HEICO in Derby, KS is seeking a Test Technician to perform testing, debugging and final qualification of electronic assemblies. Under supervision, you’ll troubleshoot at component level, repair as needed and document findings for engineering. You’ll read blueprints and process sheets, operate test gear, ensure calibration, and participate in safety compliance.

The role requires 1+ year in electronic test, education in electronics and soldering skills; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• At least one year in electronic test or related field preferred.
• Associate degree or technical school certification in electronics required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial tests on electronic assemblies using established procedures.
• Solder inspection of assemblies; familiarity with IPC 610 desirable.
• Troubleshoots to component level and replaces components as needed.
• Generates problem reports and works with Engineering for resolution.
• Documents assembly issues and provides guidance to assemblers.
• Maintains calibration of test equipment and reads blueprints/process sheets.
• Enters test data into logs and computer files; measures parts to spec.
• Works overtime including weekends as required.
