Job summary

EnerSys Advanced Systems (EAS), a specialized division of EnerSys, focuses on advanced energy solutions for aerospace, defense, and medical industries. The Test Technician role is to test, troubleshoot, and assist in production transitions on batteries, chargers, and related assemblies.

The candidate will interpret blueprints, perform repairs, collect data, and contribute to prototyping efforts within a fast-paced, high-tech environment. ITAR considerations apply for certain positions.

Qualifications

• Technical/ trade education or equivalent vocational training in manufacture industry.
• Minimum of 3+ years of technical experience in Test Technician or similar role.
• Understanding of circuit boards, microprocessors, chips, and computer hardware and software.
• Soldering skills (454 or SMT) are a plus.
• Experience using testing equipment to troubleshoot and interpret test manuals, specifications, and related document.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and schematics to analyze and troubleshoot components.
• Repair or rework products using electrical-mechanical assembly and soldering methods.
• Collect test data and verify results against specifications.
• Collaborate with New Product Team for prototypes and transition to production.
• Identify and explain quality issues and participate in resolutions and improvements.
• Perform tests on batteries, chargers, power supplies, and related boards with meters and scopes.
