Job summary

EnerSys Precision Power Solutions is seeking a Test Technician to set up, run, and monitor aerospace and defense thermal battery tests, ensuring reliability and detailed data capture. You’ll work hands-on with test equipment and instrumentation to support engineering, manufacturing, and program requirements.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree or technical training in electronics, with experience reading drawings and performing calibration.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of electrical/electronic principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to read and follow detailed technical drawings and procedures.
• Strong communication skills for interactions with employees, customers, and vendors.
• Ability to apply problem solving in test, equipment, or data scenarios.
• Attention to detail and consistent documentation practices.
• Hands-on experience with tools, wiring, soldering, and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Set up test apparatus and conduct thermal battery tests per engineering procedures.
• Prepare batteries for testing, including thermocouples and wiring per drawings.
• Use hand tools, small power tools, and calibrated test equipment daily.
• Calibrate, adjust, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment per standards.
• Organize test procedures, documentation, and work orders for efficient testing.
• Coordinate spare parts requests and sourcing options for test equipment.
• Record and tabulate battery performance data for DV/QT/LAT reports.
• Manage data entry for Work Orders, Development/Qualification/LAT tests, and calibrations.
• Write and update Operating Instructions for existing and new battery programs.
• Populate technical test reports with validated data and documentation.
