Job summary

EnerSys Advanced Systems (EAS) is seeking a Test Technician to join Bren-Tronics, a maker of advanced power solutions. You will test and troubleshoot electronic sub‑assemblies, batteries, chargers, and related components during manufacturing, interpreting schematics and supporting production transitions.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in test or similar roles, knowledge of circuit boards and SMT soldering, and the ability to stand on the production floor. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Technical or trade education in manufacturing.
• 3+ years in a Test Technician or similar role.
• Understanding of circuit boards, microprocessors, and hardware.
• Soldering skills; 454 cert a plus.
• Ability to read test manuals, specifications and related documents.
• Problem solving and results-driven attitude.
• Ability to operate production and office equipment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and schematics to troubleshoot to component level; document test results and inspection data.
• Repair or rework products using electrical–mechanical assembly and soldering methods.
• Collect test data and verify results against specifications.
• Participate in prototype assembly and New Product Team to aid product transitions to production.
• Identify and explain quality issues to teammates and drive resolutions.
• Assist with system-level repair/rework tasks or SMT component replacement as needed.
• Perform tests on batteries, chargers, power supplies and related wiring boards using meters, scopes and calipers.
• Perform additional tasks as required.
