Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Electronics Test Technician in Caledonia, WI to verify PCB assemblies and electromechanical products meet customer specs before shipment. You will set up ICT, flying probe, and functional test equipment, diagnose failures, and collaborate with Test Engineering, Production and Quality teams to improve processes.

The role operates in a high-mix contract manufacturing environment, requiring hands-on testing, soldering/rework as needed, and adherence to ESD procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certificate in electronics or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Ability to read schematics and assembly drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting for analog and digital circuits.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate ICT, flying probe, and functional test equipment.
• Verify assemblies meet customer specs and internal quality standards.
• Diagnose failures to component or process level and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Test Engineering, Production and Quality to resolve issues.
• Interpret schematics and work instructions to perform testing and troubleshooting.
• Use oscilloscopes and DMMs to analyze circuit performance.
• Perform soldering and rework on PCB assemblies as needed.
• Follow ESD-controlled procedures to protect components.
• Record test data in Epicor ERP, scan barcodes, and maintain documentation.
• Support high-mix manufacturing by adapting to different products and requirements.
• Share knowledge and support test engineering initiatives.
