Job summary

Actalent in Buffalo Grove, IL is seeking a Test Technician I to troubleshoot electronics and support test equipment in a clean manufacturing setting. You will work hands-on with test tools, interpret technical docs, and assist engineering to meet specifications.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Test Engineers, production teams, and customers to understand functionality and resolve issues. Training and career growth into higher technician levels are provided.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and network analyzers.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, datasheets, and test failure reports.
• Proven experience troubleshooting electronics down to component level.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot assembly- and system-level electronic failures down to the component level using test failure reports and schematics.
• Collaborate with Test Engineers and customers to understand product functionality.
• Provide break-fix support for test equipment to minimize downtime.
• Use oscilloscopes, multimeters, network analyzers and other tools to test and verify components and systems.
• Create, analyze, and verify documentation, programs, models, or processes as required.
