Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics Technology or related field
• Typically 1–2 years of experience in essential functions
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics or engineering instructions
• High-power electronics/avionics experience may substitute education

Responsibilities

• Set up, test and troubleshoot circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies
• Test and troubleshoot (less complex) assemblies and final systems
• May perform rework on assemblies and systems as a result of testing
• Prepare reports summarizing findings
• Assist in setting up specialized test equipment
• Monitor and adjust production processes for quality and productivity
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, or schematics to assemble electronics units
