Job summary

HiFyve in Olathe, KS is seeking an Electronics Test Technician on 1st shift. You will independently test, troubleshoot and repair electronics from component level to final system acceptance, reporting to the Production Supervisor.

Responsibilities include setting up test hardware/software, diagnosing complex failures, performing enviro and acceptance tests, and documenting results; IPC Class 2/3 compliance is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent experience.
• 1 to 3 years of experience testing, troubleshooting and repairing digital and analog circuits preferred.
• Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and independently resolve non-routine technical issues.
• Reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Independently set up hardware and software for test procedures and assist operators with test fixture setup.
• Apply knowledge of electronic circuitry, schematics and test equipment to diagnose failed assemblies.
• Perform component-level through system-level testing, including environmental and final acceptance testing.
• Perform complex technical tests and diagnose issues effectively and on time.
• Use computer applications and test equipment to complete testing and document results accurately.
• Follow and maintain established test procedures and flag needed updates.
• Evaluate workmanship for acceptance or rejection against IPC Class 2 and 3 requirements.
• Test, troubleshoot and repair customer boards and equipment with limited guidance.
• Identify test fixture issues, enter repair requests and provide the information needed to resolve them.
• Assess the impact of rework on PCB reliability and the economic impact of continued troubleshooting.
• Communicate technical issues, discrepancies and improvement ideas to supervisors, engineering and production.
