Job description

Electronics Test Technician performs moderately complex testing, troubleshooting and acceptance of production, deliverable material on pre‑production and development systems, infrared devices, lowest replaceable unit, circuit cards, subs, final assemblies and components.

Starting Wage: $31.74

1st Shift – 6:00AM to 2:30PM – Andover, Massachusetts. This is an onsite role.

Must be able to successfully pass a Technical interview.

Responsibilities
  • Work with engineering personnel with normal levels of support and supervision.
  • Interpret prints, sketches, schematics, specifications, process sheets, and outlines.
  • Utilize diversified test and measurement equipment and support multiple setups simultaneously.
  • Work under environmental extremes as required.
  • Acquire, transport, and set up test equipment and conditions following verbal, written, video or computer‑based procedures and knowledge of electronic theory.
  • Apply knowledge of electronic theory, diagnostic aids, specifications, and manuals to isolate failures in both the unit under test and associated test equipment to the lowest replaceable unit or component.
  • Perform rework, inspection and re‑inspection incidental to test, and return defective units to operational condition in compliance with specification.
  • Transport equipment, hardware and repair material between work departments as required.
  • Load and unload units under test using cranes, hoists, and lifts and other mechanical lifting devices.
  • Maintain associated peripheral equipment, tools and fixtures incidental to the test process in proper operating condition and in accordance with general housekeeping guidelines.
  • Perform inspection of material utilizing test equipment, hand tools and other mechanical tools.
  • Perform marking, stenciling, and painting as required by process.
  • Fabricate special‑purpose jigs, fixtures, and adapters.
  • Perform daily/weekly test station calibrations as required.
  • Tune and pot RF modules.
  • Perform DITMCO continuity testing and troubleshooting across all product types, including sub‑assemblies and deliverable assemblies.
  • Identify deficiencies and make suggestions to improve product reliability and quality.
  • Perform all duties contained in Test Operator C classification as directed.
  • Perform general maintenance and housekeeping of workplace, tools and equipment.
  • Maintain records, move materials and follow safety rules in performance of duties.
  • Perform other similar duties as required or directed.

Qualifications
