Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a leading provider of advanced MANET and MIMO communications systems, seeks an Electronics Test Engineer to join the Hardware Engineering team in West Los Angeles, CA. You’ll test digital hardware for the StreamCaster product line, design fixtures, and verify performance across interfaces.

Onsite role, reporting to the Team Lead, Electronics Design, with rare local travel to Irvine. A BS in Electrical Engineering and 2+ years hardware test experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant hardware test experience.
• Hands-on experience using test equipment such as bench top power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, thermal chambers.
• Experience with digital interfaces such as RS-232, USB 2.0, 1000BASE-T Ethernet.
• Experience validating power supply sequencing, efficiency, and ripple for DC/DC converters, LDOs and PMICs.
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
• All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Use electronics test equipment to evaluate system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Carry out hardware test execution and generate status and test reports.
• Define verification matrix and internal performance specifications.
• Review test results to ensure performance meets requirements.
• Review and improve test strategies and techniques.
• Design test fixtures and calibrate equipment.
• Travel locally to Irvine office as needed.
