Job summary

ASRC Federal is seeking an Electronics Technician to join our NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center team at Edwards Air Force Base. The role supports real-time radar tracking and mobile systems, with a 9/80 schedule and typical hours of 6:30am-4:00pm, plus occasional overtime to support mission flight operations.

Responsibilities include real-time engineering support, pre-mission setup, data capture, hardware maintenance, and troubleshooting with oscilloscope and signal-generation equipment.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent and formal electronics training.
  • Ability to troubleshoot using oscilloscopes, vector scopes, and TV signal generators.
  • US citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance (active preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Provide real-time and post-flight engineering and technical support for radar tracking and mobile systems.
  • Perform pre-mission setup of fixed tracking systems to meet mission requirements.
  • Capture and archive real-time data.
  • Provide preventive and corrective maintenance of hardware systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose system failures with electronic testing equipment.
