Job summary

RTX is seeking a technician to operate, monitor and maintain ROTHR/MARCAP receiver site equipment at a Freer, TX location. The role includes system-level operations, preventative maintenance on phased array antennas and RF/digital hardware, and support to engineering during testing and data collection.

The contract offers an hourly rate of $37.69 with an additional health & welfare benefit of $6.00 per hour. U.S. citizenship and potential DoD clearance are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent military tech training.
• Experience using test equipment and procedures for troubleshooting, overhaul, fault isolation, and repair of major electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform system level operation and monitoring of ROTHR/MARCAP receiver site equipment.
• Conduct maintenance on receiver site and communications equipment—phased array antennas, RF and digital hardware.
• Interpret manuals and technical documents to solve problems and plan work sequences.
• Coordinate with engineering on testing, data collection and system enhancements.
• Create experimental models, conduct tests, redesign systems, and report findings.
• Participate in training and apply supervisor guidance on compliance with best practices.
