Job summary

ChampionX is seeking an Electronics Technician to diagnose and repair electrical systems in Tulsa-based manufacturing facilities, collaborating with electricians, mechanics, and facilities teams to keep equipment running safely.

The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, PLC programming edits, and calibration of specialized testing and heat-treating equipment, with strong math, communication, and organizational skills expected.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required with Department of Labor Certification OR Associates degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
2 years of experience in a similar manufacturing role.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Good math and analytical skills.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and solve electrical problems in manufacturing equipment, machines, and equipment.
Creates and assembles components and installs them as required.
Performs preventative maintenance.
Document maintenance and repairs as required.
Interacts with other trades and work areas to complete assignments; provides electrical expertise to mechanics, facilities, and other teams.
Facilitates repair of electrical and electronic equipment, induction heating.
Designs electrical and electronic equipment.
Edits program changes in automated machines using PLC logic.
Maintains parts and materials inventory for electronic equipment.
Calibrates eddy current inspection equipment and builds coils for same.
Ensures proper heat control on heat-treating furnaces.
Checks calibration of measuring devices on RMC.
Contributes to departmental continuous improvement.
