Job summary

CSSI, LLC. seeks an experienced aviation electronics technician to identify installation hardware, diagnose and modify ground electronics systems, perform maintenance, and test equipment across varied sites.

The role requires tower climbing up to 60 ft, operation of forklifts and manlifts, and extensive CONUS/OCONUS travel with 50+ ft rescuer training and passport readiness. Ideal candidates hold 8 years of electronics experience, formal electronics training, and may possess an active Secret

Qualifications

  • Eight (8) years of practical experience, to include electronics repair, maintenance and checkout.
  • One (1) year of practical experience in electronics installation.
  • Attend antenna climbing/rescuer training and certify to climb antenna towers over 50 ft.
  • Extensive travel (CONUS and OCONUS) for on-site installations 6–12 weeks at a time.
  • Must have a current passport or ability to obtain one.
  • Knowledge of reading/editing electronic and cabling schematic drawings, RF cable/connector installation, surge protection, metal/cable fabrication, hand/power tool use, heavy equipment operation (forklifts, man lifts).
  • Active Secret security clearance strongly preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Extensive travel (CONUS and OCONUS) is required as on-site installations range from 6 to 12 weeks at a time, depending on site requirements.
  • Must have a current passport or the ability to obtain one.
  • Must have knowledge and experience with reading and editing electronic and cabling schematic drawings, RF cable and connector installation, surge protection, basic metal and cable fabrication, hand and power tool operation, and heavy equipment operation (forklifts, man lifts).
  • An active Secret security clearance is strongly preferred.
Educational Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program. Formal electronics training to include: installation tasks, soldering, cable dressing, cable tray, conduit, and making/ repairing connectors.
