Job description

Join to apply for the Electronics Technician Maintenance I role at V2X Inc.

This position involves performing radar transmitter duties on the Cobra Dane radar system located at Shemya, Alaska. It is a remote assignment with an approximately 8-week on-island and 5-week off-island rotation.

The candidate will apply basic and some advanced technical knowledge to troubleshoot transmitter problems, interpret manuals and technical orders, and perform maintenance and repairs on radar systems. Responsibilities include operation and maintenance of transmitter control consoles, antenna elements, RF components, power supplies, and related equipment, as well as maintaining records and performing tests.

Requirements:

• Valid DOD Secret clearance
• Two years of maintenance experience with high-power radar transmitters and microwave systems
• Ability to troubleshoot analog and digital circuitry, microwave components, and power supplies
• Experience with data analysis for radar system performance improvements
• Proficiency with electronic test equipment and reading schematics
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Good communication skills and understanding of electrical safety procedures

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with USAF technical orders and records management
• Quality control and government security familiarity
• Quality assurance training

Education: High school diploma and two years of technical electronics training or equivalent experience.

Pay Rate: $42.21/hourly
