SCA Role:
Job Description:
  1. Leads electronic maintenance activities including resourcing and training other electronic technicians.
  2. Performs scheduled, preventive, and corrective maintenance on TADSS, STE Devices, and GFP, following technical manuals, preventive maintenance checklists, or industry best practices when no checklist is available.
  3. Informs the government of the maintenance timelines for both staffed and unstaffed sites, including notifying when personnel need to travel for maintenance purposes or to support increased demand.
  4. Ensures maintenance tasks do not conflict with training, exercises, and testing.
  5. Records all maintenance activities in real-time in InSite.
  6. Adheres to warranty terms for maintained items, tracking them by part number, serial number, and location.
  7. Sets up and tests TADSS and STE Devices to confirm they work as expected, including interoperability and operation verification.
  8. Monitors hardware baselines, reverting to previous versions if updates fail.
  9. Analyzes maintenance trends, tracks component consumption, manages obsolescence, implements risk management strategies, and conducts failure analysis to minimize risks and improve system reliability.
  10. Responsible for configuration management of all maintenance on TADSS, STE Devices, and GFP devices.
  11. Installs modifications or upgrade kits as per manufacturer's instructions.
  12. Performs maintenance instruction.
  13. May serve as a preventive rover for unstaffed sites.
  14. May be responsible for installing and maintaining software and hardware installs, and managing patches and security compliance for installed applications and operating systems.
TDL Specifics:
  1. Support three primary missions: Steady-state Training Support, Point of Need operations, and Surge Support.
Steady-state Training Support:
  1. Support Soldiers in planning training exercises in TMT software, coordinating training equipment and RVCT modules.
  2. Initialize and troubleshoot the local RVCT training network to ensure connectivity.
  3. Provide Over the Shoulder training and exercise control functions during exercises.
  4. Conduct After-Action Reviews and prepare lessons learned packages.
Point of Need training:
  1. Prepare, transport, set up, and troubleshoot RVCT modules and equipment at the Point of Need location.
  2. Provide After-Action Reviews and take-home packages post-exercise.
  3. Support exercise termination activities including packing up and returning equipment.
Surge Support:
  1. Shift personnel to support training exceeding current site personnel requirements, supporting up to 28 modules or two companies temporarily.
Travel:

Travel up to 30%, including OCONUS.

Degree(s)/Years of Experience:

(10+ BA/BS or 5+ MA/MS) or (14+ AA/No Degree).

Certification(s):

Basic Electronic Technical Certificate.

Desired Experience:
  • Leading electronic maintenance activities, resourcing, training, and performing maintenance on TADSS and GFP.
  • Informing government of maintenance timelines, ensuring no conflicts with training/exercises, recording activities in real-time.
  • Adhering to warranty terms, tracking items, setting up and testing TADSS, monitoring hardware baselines, analyzing trends, managing obsolescence, and conducting failure analysis.
