SCA Role

Job Description:

1. Lead electronic maintenance activities, including resourcing and training other electronic technicians.
2. Perform scheduled, preventive, and corrective maintenance on TADSS, STE Devices, and GFP, following technical manuals, checklists, or industry best practices.
3. Inform the government of maintenance timelines for both staffed and unstaffed sites, including travel needs for personnel.
4. Ensure maintenance tasks do not conflict with training, exercises, and testing.
5. Record all maintenance activities in real-time in InSite.
6. Adhere to warranty terms, tracking items by part number, serial number, and location.
7. Set up and test TADSS and STE Devices to confirm proper operation and interoperability.
8. Monitor hardware baselines, revert to previous versions if updates fail.
9. Analyze maintenance trends, track component consumption, manage obsolescence, and conduct failure analysis to improve system reliability.
10. Manage configuration of all maintenance on TADSS, STE Devices, and GFP devices.
11. Install modifications or upgrade kits as per manufacturer instructions.
12. Perform maintenance instructions as required.
13. May serve as a preventive rover for unstaffed sites.
14. May be responsible for installing and maintaining software and hardware, managing patches, and ensuring security compliance.

TDL Specifics

• Support three primary missions: Steady-state Training Support, Point of Need operations, and Surge Support.

Steady-state Training Support

• Support Soldiers in planning training exercises, coordinating equipment, and preparing for exercises.
• Initialize and troubleshoot the RVCT training network, provide direct support and training during exercises.

Assessment Phase

• Provide After-Action Reviews and lessons learned packages.

Point Of Need Training

• Support shipment, setup, troubleshooting, and execution support at the Point of Need.

Surge Support

• Shift personnel to support training at various sites for limited durations.

Provide TADSS operational and "over-the-shoulder" assistance and training, including STE operation support.

Travel

Travel up to 30%, including OCONUS.

Degree(s)/Years of Experience

10+ BA/BS or 5+ MA/MS, or 14+ AA/no degree.

Certifications

Basic Electronic Technical Certificate.

Desired Experience

• Leading electronic maintenance activities, training, and performing maintenance on TADSS and GFP.
• Informing maintenance timelines, tracking warranty terms, setting up and testing TADSS, monitoring hardware, analyzing trends, and managing configurations.
• Installing and maintaining software/hardware, managing patches, and security compliance.
• STE Device knowledge preferred.
