Job summary

Schwan's is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician for our Kentucky facility. This full-time role features a second shift with a $32.50/hour starting pay plus a $1.50 shift differential from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; a 2-year maintenance-related degree is preferred.
• 3+ years of related experience in electrical maintenance roles.
• Ability to work different shifts including full-time, overtime, or weekends.
• Advanced electrical and maintenance knowledge/experience.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains electrical systems and components.
• Assist in fabrication and testing of electrical/electronic subsystems.
• Perform periodic inspections of scales, meters, controllers and related devices.
• Calibrates instruments to ensure accurate control and recording.
• Replaces, repairs, or adjusts equipment to meet design specs.
• Performs PMs and verifications on control components.
• Reads schematics and diagrams for maintenance tasks.
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot electrical and electronic equipment.

What You Will Do

• Builds printed circuit boards, and electronic sub-assemblies. Constructs discrete or integrated electronic circuits. Calculates resistance, loads, currents and component sizes appropriate to the application.
• May assist in the fabrication of electrical and electronic systems and tests final assemblies.
• Performs periodic inspections of all scales, meters, controllers, recorders, and any other measuring devices used in the production of product or in facility support systems.
• Calibrates instruments to control or record accurately. Replaces, repairs and adjusts accompanying equipment to perform as designed.
• Performs PMs, inspections and verifications on all control components.
• Maintains material lists and assists in preparing purchasing requests.
• Modifies and writes logic control programs. Assists in the diagnosis of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and similar problems and apply appropriate corrective action.
• Reads and interprets schematic drawings and diagrams required to perform maintenance on, or install plant equipment.
• Performs installation, maintenance and trouble-shooting on electrical and electronics equipment, as assigned.
• Performs frequency drives, writes drive logic in PLC code, creates HMI applications uploads and downloads PLC programs and HMI applications, programs ladder logic to troubleshoot equipment, integrates new processes into equipment, sets up network communications and sets up advanced routing of Ethernet

What You Will Bring

• High school diploma or GED; two-year degree in specialized maintenance trade preferred.
• 3+ years of related experience.
• Work different ranges of hours such as full-time, overtime, or weekend shifts.
• Advanced electrical and maintenance knowledge/experience.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
