Overview

We are seeking an Electronics Technician 4 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. As part of the (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audiovisual, IT systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high‑growth markets.

Responsibilities
  • Leading teams on large complex installation projects with limited supervision.
  • Leading and documenting daily toolbox talks, ORMs and safety audits.
  • Installing and maintaining equipment at both local and global levels per design packages.
  • Programming and installing head‑end equipment for access control, intrusion detection and CCTV systems.
  • Troubleshooting and isolating both systems and/or hardware at both local and global levels.
  • Leading on‑site software commissioning and testing.
  • Lead inspections, evaluations and inventory; perform project take‑off drawings; create and manage project schedule; track RFIs.
  • Design assist and feedback; document daily reports and project progress.
  • Communicating project and team member issues/concerns to management.
  • Integrating IDS, ACS and CCTV systems.
  • Forecasting and managing project labor hours; communicate effectively with supervisors and subordinates.
  • Guiding and mentoring technicians.
  • Position requires 100% travel.
Qualifications
Clearance / Citizen Type

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship, for access to classified information. No clearance is needed.

Key Requirements
  • Requires a valid driver’s license; this position may require ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle.
  • Selected candidates must possess an acceptable driving record in accordance with our policy.
Education
  • HS diploma or GED; military electronics training (minimum 720 classroom hours) or
  • Graduation from an accredited electronics technician program or
  • Graduation from an electrical apprenticeship program; an additional three (3) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities.
Required Progressive Experience
  • 8+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs.
  • 3 years of the above experience focused in electronic security systems.
  • Strong oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated time‑management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
  • Strong MS‑Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills is a plus.
  • Must be able to travel 50%.
Desired / Advantageous Qualifications
  • Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems (CCURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, AIPhone, Intercom Systems Airphone, FFT, DIVAR, Windows operating systems & certifications) and experience in installation of said systems.

Abilities
  • The position requires the ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Relocate a 12 foot stepladder without assistance.
  • Work at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and all types of ladders.
  • Walk, climb, lift, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull and reach overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
  • Possess good vision (may be corrected), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.
  • May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
