Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an Electronics Technician 4 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit. You will install, maintain, and service electronic security systems including intrusion, access control, CCTV, and IT systems for federal, local, and commercial clients.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in electronics installation/maintenance, with at least 3 years in security systems, plus strong communication and teamwork skills. Domestic and international travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid driver's license and may require use of a company vehicle.
• HS diploma or GED and electronics training or related programs.
• Minimum 8+ years in electronics installation/maintenance across multiple systems and programs.
• At least 3 years focused on electronic security systems; strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain electronic security systems and perform preventive maintenance.
• Lead teams on large installation projects with limited supervision.
• Document daily toolbox talks, ORM and safety audits.
• Install and maintain equipment locally and globally per design packages.
• Program and install head end equipment for ACS, IDS, CCTV systems.
• Troubleshoot and isolate hardware and systems; lead on-site software commissioning.
• Manage project drawings Take-offs, RFIs, and project progress reporting.
• Coordinate with Supervisors and manage project labor hours; mentor technicians.

Position

We are seeking an Electronics Technician 4 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. As part of (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.

Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for installing and maintaining electronic security systems. Performing preventive maintenance requirements. Performing inspections, evaluations, and inventory.

• Leading teams on Large complex installation projects with limited supervision.
• Leading and documenting daily toolbox talks, ORMs and Safety Audits.
• Installing and Maintain equipment at both the local and global level per design packages.
• Programming and Installation of head end equipment for Access Control, Intrusion Detection and CCTV systems.
• Troubleshooting and isolating both systems and/or hardware at both a local and global level.
• Lead the on-site software commissioning and testing.
• Lead inspections, evaluations, and inventory Performing Take off project drawings Create,
• Document and Track RFIs.
• Design assist and feedback
• Documenting daily reports and project progress.
• Communicating project and team member issues/concerns to management
• Create and manage Project schedule Integration of IDS, ACS and CCTV systems
• Forecast and Manage Project Labor Hours Communicate effectively with Supervisors and Subordinates
• Guide and Mentor Technicians

Qualifications

Key Requirements:

• Requires a Valid driver's license. This position may require ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle.
• Selected candidates must possess an acceptable driving record in accordance to our policy

Education:

• HS diploma or GED
• Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours) or
• Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program or
• Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program
• An additional three (3) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities

Required Progressive Experience:

• 8+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs
• 3 years of the above experience must be focused in electronic security systems
• Strong Oral, Written and Presentation Skills.
• Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
• Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Skills is a plus.
• Must be able to travel 50%.

Desired Qualifications:

• Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems CCURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, AIphone Intercom Systems Airphone, FFT, DIVAR, Windows operating systems & certifications and experience in installation of said systems.

Abilities:

• The position requires the ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to [50 pounds] on a regular basis. Candidates must demonstrate physical strength and stamina to perform various tasks, including but not limited to, loading, and unloading, operating equipment, and assisting in the transportation of various materials. Proper lifting techniques and safety protocols must be followed to ensure personal and team safety.

• Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.
