Job summary

MV Transportation is seeking an Electronics Technician to service and repair vehicle electronics including Drive Cam, SEON, two-way radios, and AVL systems. Training provided; requires knowledge of electronics and computer systems used in vehicles.

The role involves performing PMs, diagnosing issues, repairing parts, and doing field repairs on road failures. A valid Class B CDL with passenger endorsement and ability to pass a DOT physical are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electronics to perform inspections, diagnosis, removal and repair of equipment and systems.
• Must have own hand tools; major items supplied.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Class B CDL with passenger endorsement and no air brake restriction.

Responsibilities

MV Transportation is seeking anElectronics Technicianwho will be responsible for Drive Cam, SEON video recorders, two-way radios, Trapeze MDT (AVL) system, Mobile Eye Collision Avoidance, tablets, and on-board wireless. Company paid training, general ability and experience with Electronics and computers needed for vehicles.

Responsibilities:

• Completes scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance /p.m.’son all electronic systems, subassemblies and control devices.
• Inspects, diagnoses, removes and repairs electronic systems, equipment and devices.
• Determines the source of trouble.
• Repairs or replaces defective parts or makes changes as instructed.
• Uses testing equipment (meters, oscilloscopes, test bench and mock-up).

• Executes field repairs on road failures as needed.
• Completes other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electronics to perform inspections, diagnosis, removal and repair of equipment and systems.

• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade.
• Must have own hand tools; major items supplied.
• Valid state Driver's license.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Class B CDL with passenger endorsement and no air brake restriction

Starting Wage Range: $35 - $39/hr

Starting Pay Rate: $35 - $39/hr
