Job summary

Fairmount Automation is seeking a dedicated Electronics Technician to join our Electronics Assembly team in Conshohocken, PA. You will inspect, repair, test, calibrate, and install assemblies to meet exacting specifications for industrial and military applications.

The role requires soldering (through-hole and surface mount), circuit testing, and practical troubleshooting with DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and insulation testers.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ experience as an Electronics Technician or Test Technician
  • Electronic proficiency including through-hole and surface mount soldering/de-soldering and wire-wrap construction
  • Fundamental understanding of basic electronics and instruments
  • Strong willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to follow defined processes and procedures Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, repair, test, calibrate, and install assemblies and finished products to ensure conformance with specifications and quality standards
  • Perform basic electrical circuit analysis including Analog, Power, High Voltage, and Digital circuits
  • Set up and use measurement & test equipment in the troubleshooting of electronic products including but not limited to: DMMs, O-Scopes, Insulation Testers, Power Supplies, etc.
  • Determine root cause of failure, solution and then complete subsequent repair
  • Use hand tools to repair electronic board assemblies and wiring harnesses
  • Use handheld meters and test equipment for basic troubleshooting and verification
  • Perform assigned activities from oral and/or written instructions, drawings, or other manufacturing information
  • Maintain expected progress of jobs in area of assignment and communication of problem areas
  • Follow established procedures/work instructions for assigned activities
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Lift and move materials up to 30 pounds as needed

We are currently seeking a hardworking, dependable, and motivated individual to join our Electronics Assembly team. Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect, repair, test, calibrate, and install assemblies and finished products to ensure conformance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform basic electrical circuit analysis including Analog, Power, High Voltage, and Digital circuits.
  • Set up and use measurement & test equipment in the troubleshooting of electronic products including but not limited to: DMMs, O-Scopes, Insulation Testers, Power Supplies, etc.
  • Determine root cause of failure, solution and then complete subsequent repair.
  • Use hand tools to repair electronic board assemblies and wiring harnesses: hand tools include soldering irons, screwdrivers, contact crimpers, heat guns, etc
  • Use handheld meters and test equipment for basic troubleshooting and verification
  • Perform assigned activities from oral and/or written instructions, drawings, or other manufacturing information.
  • Maintain expected progress of jobs in area of assignment and communication of problem areas. Follow procedures for handling ESD-sensitive components
  • Follow established procedures/work instructions for assigned activities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Lift and move materials up to 30 pounds as needed
Requirements:
