We are seeking a motivated Technician I – Electronic Product Fabrication & Assembly to support the fabrication, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of advanced electronic hardware in both production and development environments. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a desire to build hands‑on technical skills within a fast‑paced engineering organization. As a Technician I, you will work alongside experienced engineering and manufacturing professionals while contributing to the successful completion of critical hardware programs.

Key Responsibilities
Electronic Hardware Fabrication & Assembly
  • Fabricate, assemble, and rework non-flight electronic hardware using assembly drawings, build documents, and work instructions.
  • Build and modify hardware such as: Cable assemblies Chassis assemblies 19-inch rack systems Test equipment and test aids
  • Perform cable assembly tasks including: Wire stripping Crimping Connector installation Soldering Sleeving and grounding implementation
  • Accurately interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and wire lists.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues related to assembly workmanship or product design.
Testing & Quality Assurance
  • Perform continuity verification using Digital Multimeters (DMMs).
  • Conduct Cirris testing on a variety of cable assemblies.
  • Measure, record, and document test data accurately.
  • Identify and report out-of-tolerance conditions and potential quality concerns.
  • Support manufacturing objectives by maintaining a strong focus on quality, cost control, schedule adherence, manufacturability, and hardware reuse.
Team & Project Support
  • Complete assignments efficiently and effectively while meeting project deadlines.
  • Maintain a dependable and predictable work schedule.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and support teams to help achieve program goals.
  • Build positive working relationships across departments and functional teams.
  • Provide technical support as needed, including occasional overtime to support critical project milestones.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a technical environment.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and comfort working with a variety of hand tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality workmanship.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Ability to read and follow: Electrical schematics Mechanical drawings Assembly instructions Test procedures
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry and data lookup.
  • Willingness to learn and utilize manufacturing and engineering software tools, including Agile and Velocity.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications and training, including: Cleanroom Operations Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Protection J-STD-001 Soldering IPC-A-620 Cable & Wire Harness Assemblies
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of technical personnel and management.
Education

Substitution Relevant Bachelor's or Master's degrees from accredited institutions may be considered in place of qualifying experience, with each higher-level degree substituting for up to two years of related experience.

Work Environment

This is an on‑site contract position requiring attendance at the primary work location five days per week. Travel between facilities and local work sites may occasionally be required. Work may be performed in: Offices Laboratories Production floors Cleanrooms Outdoor or research environments Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required in designated work areas. Position may involve access to multiple facilities under varying environmental and weather conditions.
