Job summary

Pima County seeks an Electronics Specialist Supervisor to lead the Electronics shop, overseeing staff and coordinating installations, testing, repairs, and maintenance of fire alarm, card access, intrusion, data/fiber, and CCTV systems. Strong leadership and extensive electronics experience are required.

Responsibilities include scheduling, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with NFPA and county procedures.

Qualifications

• Completion of an industry-recognized apprenticeship in electronics and six years of journey-level electronics experience.
• Two years of supervisory experience in electronics preferred.
• Education and experience must be documented in the application.

Responsibilities

• Creates schedules and coordinates Fire Alarm system maintenance, testing and repairs.
• Manages and supervises Electronics Specialist staff, including performance management, timekeeping and scheduling.
• Performs review of data and fiber installation for new construction and remodeling submittals.
• Maintains records of Electronics shop duties using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Assigns and programs card access.
• Coordinates and schedules Electronic shop work orders.
• Creates cost estimates for Electronics shop projects.
