Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sourcing Manager (Falcon 9) to build and lead electronics category sourcing strategies. You will manage a domestic and international supplier base, negotiate contracts, and execute cost-saving initiatives while aligning with design and manufacturing teams.

The role requires reading drawings, BOMs, and understanding avionics manufacturing complexity. You will collaborate with stakeholders to define SLAs/KPIs and drive supplier performance, ensuring readiness for prototypes,

Qualifications

• Advanced degree with 3+ years in purchasing, materials, or supply chain.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in one or more required areas or 9+ years experience.
• APICS or Lean/Six Sigma certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create sourcing strategies for electronics categories including PCB, PCBA, components, and instrumentation.
• Develop and manage a domestic and international supply base.
• Collaborate with suppliers to implement sourcing and cost-management strategies.
• Conduct cost-reduction projects and track progress with stakeholders.
• Analyze spend, capacity, and financial impact of sourcing decisions.
• Manage demand, orders, and supplier delivery performance.
• Lead RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs with stakeholders.
• Define and monitor supplier KPIs and SLAs.
• Advise engineering on supplier selection and manufacturability.
