Saab AB in New York is seeking an Electronics Commodity Management Professional to lead strategic sourcing for electronics across North America and internationally. You will drive category strategies, negotiate contracts, manage supplier performance, and identify opportunities for cost reduction and supply chain resilience.

The role requires a strong electronics background, extensive sourcing experience, and the ability to collaborate with diverse internal teams.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Supply Chain Management or Engineering or equivalent is required.
• 8+ years with a BA/BS, or 6+ years with a Master’s degree, in Sourcing or Supply Chain.
• Strong financial acumen related to sourcing and supply chain.
• Strong electronics technical background.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Leadership and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop commodity category strategies to improve quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.
• Lead supplier selection and award of first-time contracts with internal stakeholders.
• Manage approved supplier list for electronics commodities.
• Support win-biz by identifying and onboarding critical suppliers.
• Analyze data to understand supply base and categories.
• Perform market research and analyze trends for electronics.
• Identify risks and opportunities with SWOT and risk assessments.
• Partner with international affiliates to forecast near and long-term needs.
• Create adaptable supply chains for electronics commodities.
• Lead supplier evaluations to assess capabilities and processes.
• Conduct spend analysis and drive cost reduction initiatives.
• Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews with critical suppliers.
• Support Saab Inc. Small Business objectives and promote diverse supply base.
• Collaborate to develop supplier evaluation and scoring systems.
• Develop or modify SOPs and work instructions.
