Microchip Technology Inc. in Simsbury, CT is seeking a Production Specialist to assemble modules by hand soldering SMT components and SAW devices onto PCBs, following MIL-STD 883, J-STD, and internal processes.

The role also includes wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, and mechanical assembly with strict ESD controls. You will perform quality inspections, document results, sign off travelers, and participate in Lean initiatives while working with minimal supervision.

Formación

• Minimal 1 year in manufacturing with assembly and soldering tasks.
• Experience using a microscope for detailed work.
• Proficient with Windows-based software and office tools.
• Clear written and verbal English communication.
• Hands-on electronics manufacturing knowledge.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams.

Responsabilidades

• Solder components, wiring harnesses and SAW devices onto PCBs per drawings and travelers.
• Assemble modules by installing PCBs into module cases per documentation.
• Conduct quality inspections on purchased and assembled parts per procedures.
• Document inspection results and report discrepancies promptly.
• Sign off on travelers and move products to Inventory or Test.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives and improvements.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
