Job summary

Rice Lake Weighing Systems, Inc. is seeking an Electronics Technician to discuss customer specs with sales, programming and electrical design, and to test, troubleshoot, and debug hardware and software issues.

Role requires 3+ years experience with circuit boards or software testing, an Associate’s in Electronics, excellent customer service, and strong teamwork and writing skills. On-site in Wisconsin with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Electronics or related field; 3+ years experience with electronic circuit boards or software testing.
• Excellent customer service skills including patience, phone skills, and the ability to explain technical examples.
• Networking and Ethernet experience.
• Experience with WiFi, Bluetooth, and other wireless interfaces.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Teamwork and communication skills.
• Technical writing experience.
• Able to work on daily assignments with general instructions and minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Discuss initial specifications from the customer with sales, programming and electrical design.
• Communicate test status, findings, and potential issues to engineering, sales, programming, and other appropriate personnel.
• Work independently on assignments requiring considerable judgment, initiative, and technical problem-solving.
• Review and provide technical feedback on customer documentation and technical write-ups.
• Test, troubleshoot, and debug electrical and software-related issues and work with engineering personnel to identify and resolve problems.
• Provides guidance to other support level employees.
• Keep up to date with the latest products being offered by the RLWS.
• Keeps up to date with latest information on test lab equipment.
• Search out and participate, when approved, in further education, seminars, independent reading to develop skills
