Job summary

Precision Castparts seeks an experienced technician to install, repair, troubleshoot, construct, adjust, modify and service electronic and electrical equipment across diverse systems. The role covers plans, diagrams, and field work including climbing structures for inspections and repairs.

Responsibilities include assembling and testing devices, maintaining gear and cables, and fabricating components. Safety, accuracy, and adherence to procedures are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Receives wiring diagrams, drawings, specifications and instructions for repair, installation and inspection.
• Analyzes circuits and diagrams to install, repair, adjust, calibrate or service equipment.
• Plans procedures and determines material needs; troubleshoots and responds to trouble calls.
• Fabricates parts and performs adaptations or conversions as needed.
• Maintains and repairs communication cables and power distribution equipment.
• Requires knowledge of safety, codes and proper isolation of circuits.

Responsibilities

• Assembles, inspects, adjusts, repairs or replaces faulty parts and wiring.
• Inspects, dismantles, services, reassembles, tests and adjusts equipment for safe operation.
• Maintains, installs or repairs all communication cables or wiring.
• Climbs on buildings, towers, cranes and mill equipment for inspection and repair.
• Plans and performs work with thorough knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.
• Fabricates parts using machine and hand tools of the trades.
