Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial in Wisconsin is seeking a Quality Technician to support subassembly and final assembly operations, perform testing, and assist the Quality Department.

The role requires recognizing electronic components, performing inspections, interpreting prints and codes, and ensuring calibration of test equipment. Pay ranges from $24.00 to $30.00 per hour with a 2nd shift premium; both 1st and 2nd shifts are available.

Qualifications

• Experience with troubleshooting and repair of servers, down to the subassembly level, including but not limited to the removal and replacement of hard drives, memory, motherboards, etc.
• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience as an Inspector or quality technician.
• High-level visual awareness and advanced organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively independently as well as in a team environment
• Ability to learn new applications and programs
• Ability to work alone with minimal supervision.
• Ability to analyze, interpret and effectively communicate technical information.
• Ability to stand for longer periods and must be capable of lifting 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Recognize and identify different electronic components and use common electronic tools.
• Support subassembly & final assembly operations, and testing subassemblies and final assemblies.
• Perform final inspection and prepare quality inspection reports.
• Verify repaired units adhere to standards of appearance, functionality, and quality.
• Read prints and interpret codes on wires and components.
• Inspect refurbished product prior to shipment to maintain quality.
• Provide feedback to supervisors on trends or failure conditions.
• Assist Quality Engineers with measurement analysis of Production Launch runs.
• Ensure test equipment is calibrated and working correctly.
