Job summary

McCain, Inc. is seeking a QC & Test Technician to ensure that finished electronic products meet quality, functional, and technical requirements. You will perform visual inspections and functional testing in a manufacturing environment, using test equipment and software tools when applicable.

The role supports low-volume, high-mix production and includes internal training for specific products, processes, and test systems. English proficiency required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• 1–3 years in quality control, inspection, or testing in manufacturing.
• Intermediate knowledge of electronics principles and system-level functionality.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Proficient use of electrical test and measurement equipment (multimeters, power supplies, etc.).
• Knowledge in software coding languages; Linux preferred.
• Analytical mindset for troubleshooting functional issues and anomalies.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Must read/write/communicate in English; bilingual in English/Spanish helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspection of finished electronics to verify quality and specifications.
• Execute functional and electrical testing per procedures and test plans.
• Operate test equipment, fixtures, interfaces and software-based test systems.
• Record and document inspection and test results; report defects and nonconformities.
• Read product specifications, electrical diagrams, mechanical drawings.
• Support failure analysis and authorized rework activities.
• Comply with internal quality procedures and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams for assembly or packing; collaborate with QA and Engineering as needed.
