Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
  • 1–3 years in quality control, inspection, or testing in manufacturing.
  • Intermediate knowledge of electronics principles and system-level functionality.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Proficient use of electrical test and measurement equipment (multimeters, power supplies, etc.).
  • Knowledge in software coding languages; Linux preferred.
  • Analytical mindset for troubleshooting functional issues and anomalies.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must read/write/communicate in English; bilingual in English/Spanish helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual inspection of finished electronics to verify quality and specifications.
  • Execute functional and electrical testing per procedures and test plans.
  • Operate test equipment, fixtures, interfaces and software-based test systems.
  • Record and document inspection and test results; report defects and nonconformities.
  • Read product specifications, electrical diagrams, mechanical drawings.
  • Support failure analysis and authorized rework activities.
  • Comply with internal quality procedures and safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams for assembly or packing; collaborate with QA and Engineering as needed.

Job description

We are looking for a QC & Test Technician to ensure that finished electronic products meet established quality, functional, and technical requirements. This position performs visual inspections and functional testing of finished electronic products in a manufacturing environment, using test equipment and software tools when applicable. The role supports low-volume, high-mix manufacturing and includes internal training for specific products, processes, and test systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Perform visual inspection of finished electronic products to verify compliance with defined quality standards and specifications.
  2. Execute functional and electrical testing in accordance with established procedures, work instructions, and test plans.
  3. Operate test equipment, fixtures, interfaces, and software-based test systems as required.
  4. Accountable for product functionality, performance, and conformance to technical requirements.
  5. Accurately record and document inspection and test results in physical or electronic systems, report and communicate defects, failures, and nonconformities.
  6. Read product specifications, electrical diagrams, mechanical drawings.
  7. Support failure analysis and authorized rework activities when applicable.
  8. Comply with internal quality procedures, safety requirements and ESD controls.
  9. Collaborate with manufacturing teams for assembly or packing.
  10. Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams as needed.
Requirements
  1. High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
  2. Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in quality control, inspection or testing role in a manufacturing or regulated environment.
  3. Intermediate knowledge of electronics principles and system-level functionality.
  4. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical documentation, test and manufacturing instructions.
  5. Proficient use of electrical test and measurement equipment (multimeters, power supplies, etc.)
  6. Knowledge in software coding languages. Linux preferred.
  7. Analytical mindset for troubleshooting functional issues and anomalies.
  8. Effective communication and teamwork.
  9. Self-motivation and willingness to learn through internal training.
  10. Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  11. Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are helpful, but not required.
Physical Conditions
  • Primarily works in a controlled indoor environment, with exposure to temperature variations and warehouse conditions.
  • Occasional – Routine deadlines; usually sufficient lead time; variance in work volume seasonal and predictable; priorities can be anticipated; some interruptions are present; involves occasional exposure to demands and pressures from persons other than immediate supervisor.
  • Job frequently requires walking, standing and handling objects.
  • Job occasionally requires kneeling, stooping, forward bending, reaching, and talking. Some occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Hearing requirements: Ability to hear people over the telephone and in person; hear noises in surrounding areas, i.e., forklifts in the warehouse for safety purposes. Ability to tolerate loud noises from various manufacturing machines.
  • Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically and to perform inspections and tests.
