Job summary

Molex, a leading provider of electronic solutions in Lisle, Illinois, is seeking a Procurement Category Analyst - Electronics to support the Electronics Category Management team with data-driven insights across components, PCBs, connectors, and related tech.

You'll develop reports, analyze spend, support RFQs, monitor market trends, and collaborate with Finance, Engineering, and Supply Chain to drive cost reductions and supply assurance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, finance, data analytics, or related field.
• 1-5 years of experience in procurement or analytics.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret large data sets.
• Ability to present findings clearly to stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain spend, savings, forecast, inflation, lead-time, inventory, and supplier performance reporting for the Electronics category.
• Analyze category spend and supplier data to identify savings opportunities, risk areas, pricing gaps, and opportunities for supply base optimization.
• Support Global and Regional Category Managers with RFQ preparation, target setting, award analysis, supplier negotiations, and business review materials.
• Monitor electronics market trends, including semiconductors, passive components, PCB, EMS, connectors, and wire and cable market dynamics, and translate insights into actionable procurement recommendations.
• Partner with Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Business Unit stakeholders to validate savings, forecast demand, assess risk, and align procurement actions with business priorities.
• Support supply assurance activities by tracking lead-time exposure, inventory health, single-source risk, country-of-origin optionality, and alternate-source opportunities.
• Build, improve, and automate analytical tools, dashboards, and repeatable reporting processes that increase visibility and improve procurement decision-making.
• Maintain accurate procurement data across systems and ensure reporting is clear, consistent, and aligned with category objectives.
• Prepare professional presentations, executive summaries, and category updates that communicate insights, risks, actions, and results.
