Job summary

Molex is seeking an Advanced Purchasing Specialist to support New Product Development in Illinois. This high-visibility role partners with engineering, procurement, and category management across Lisle and global regions to develop sourcing strategies for flawless product launches.

The role requires 2+ years in sourcing/procurement, a bachelor's in engineering or supply chain, and experience with SAP. Travel up to 10% is possible; hybrid work with one remote day per week is offered.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or advanced purchasing.
Bachelor's degree in engineering or supply chain management or equivalent.
Experience supporting New Product Development (NPD) programs and working with SAP or similar procurement systems.

Responsibilities

Lead sourcing activities for new product introductions and create sourcing roadmaps aligned with product lifecycles.
Partner with Category Management, Engineering, Project & Product Management and other key stakeholders to execute strategies that drive value and ensure seamless product launches.
Collaborate with engineering, project & product management, and manufacturing teams to optimize supplier capabilities, cost, and manufacturability.
Negotiate pricing, tooling investments, and contracts to ensure total cost competitiveness and conduct total landed cost analyses.
