Job summary

GMI is seeking an Electronic Manufacturing Specialist in Norcross, GA to manufacture advanced electronic components for GMI systems. The role involves building, configuring, testing, and repairing computers, servo power units, and spectrophotometer heads.

Travel to customer sites (10–20%) for repairs or site surveys, typically 2–5 day trips; after training, a high degree of autonomy is expected, with opportunities to contribute across multiple areas in a small-company environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preference for electronics or computer-related certification.
• Experience with computer systems, building or repairing computers.
• Experience with computer networking.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, test, and repair computers, servo power units, and spectrophotometer probe heads.
• Troubleshoot computer components and use .bat files/utilities to configure electronics.
• Set up network communications and interpret testing data.
• Travel to customer sites 10–20% for repairs or site surveys; most trips 2–5 days; weekends only with agreement and days off.
• Work with management to set reasonable production goals; after training, expect autonomy.
• Manage multiple responsibilities in a small company environment.
