Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an Electronics Manufacturing Engineer to lead end-to-end electronics manufacturing from prototype to full-rate production in Seattle. You will partner with COMSEC and Electrical Hardware teams to ensure manufacturability, quality, and compliance across the product lifecycle.

The role requires 8+ years in electronics manufacturing, hands-on PCB fabrication/assembly, and a security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field
• 8+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing engineering or a related hardware discipline
• Hands-on experience with PCB fabrication, assembly, and test processes
• Strong understanding of electronics manufacturing standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, or equivalent)
• Experience conducting DFM/DFT reviews and working with CAD/EDA tools
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across cross-functional hardware and software teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• Lead and support electronics manufacturing engineering activities across the full product development lifecycle
• Collaborate closely with the COMSEC and Electrical Hardware teams to ensure manufacturability and design compliance
• Develop, document, and optimize manufacturing processes, work instructions, and assembly procedures
• Drive new product introduction (NPI) and oversee the transition from prototype to full-rate production
• Conduct design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT) reviews
• Support PCB layout, fabrication, and assembly processes in coordination with internal teams and external suppliers
• Identify and resolve manufacturing defects, process failures, and quality issues through root cause analysis
• Partner with supply chain and procurement teams to qualify vendors and manage component sourcing
• Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with applicable standards, specifications, and security requirements
