Job summary

Blue Origin in Colorado is seeking an Electronics Manufacturing Engineer to join the Core Systems & Components group and help advance electronics manufacturing for high-reliability space systems.

You will work with COMSEC and Electrical Hardware Design teams to ensure manufacturability, drive NPI, and transition prototypes to full-rate production, all while maintaining security standards and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing engineering or a related hardware discipline
• Hands-on experience with PCB fabrication, assembly, and test processes
• Strong understanding of electronics manufacturing standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, or equivalent)
• Experience conducting DFM/DFT reviews and working with CAD/EDA tools
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across cross-functional hardware and software teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• Lead electronics manufacturing activities across the full product lifecycle
• Collaborate with COMSEC and Electrical Hardware teams for manufacturability and design compliance
• Develop, document, and optimize manufacturing processes, work instructions, and assembly procedures
• Drive new product introduction (NPI) and scale from prototype to full-rate production
• Conduct DFM and DFT reviews
• Support PCB layout, fabrication, and assembly with internal teams and suppliers
• Identify and resolve defects through root cause analysis
• Qualify vendors with supply chain and procurement
• Ensure manufacturing activities meet standards, specifications, and security requirements
