Thursday-Sunday 4:00pm to 4:30am
Responsibilities and tasks:
- Design, specify, start, validate, monitor, and troubleshoot electronic control systems including PLC logic, HMI, VFDs, relay logic, and motor controls.
- Work cross-functionally with other departments and engineering disciplines to design and detail industrial processes, motor controls, instrumentation, and power systems that meet business requirements.
- Program, troubleshoot, and configure Allen Bradley (Rockwell) PLC/HMI control systems.
- Detail control strategy for process areas, communicate, educate, and train maintenance personnel and managers on processes, equipment, and standards.
- Problem-solve in processes and/or design issues by applying controls.
- Coordinate with contractors on installation and commissioning of electronic control systems and electrical maintenance.
- Knowledge of scale controller setup and adjustment is a plus.
- Must have working knowledge of all voltage ranges.
- Ability to set up, maintain, install, troubleshoot, and repair control and line voltage systems.
- Install conduit, pull wire, and terminate connections.
- Utilize manufacturer technical support as a troubleshooting tool.
- Read and follow electrical schematics for troubleshooting and installation.
- Report directly to Maintenance Supervisor.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Complete daily/weekly PM tasks.
- Conduct daily inspections of electrical and control equipment.
- Report issues for work order creation.
- Handle work orders for repairs.
- Respond to facility breakdown calls.
- Communicate with the outgoing shift’s ET about issues addressed.
- Order parts and materials for projects and repairs.
Ownership of:
- Electrical safety and maintenance.
- Control systems throughout the facility.
- Cleanliness and organization of electrical/electronic equipment and storage areas.
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering preferred.
- Ability to work non-traditional hours for commissioning and uploads.
- Problem-solving skills with root cause analysis (RCA) required.
- Leadership in troubleshooting high-level process issues.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Good planning and prioritization skills.
- Safety-mindedness.
- Work hours: 4 days, 12-hour shifts.
Physical Demands:
- Occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbs.
- Frequently stand, walk, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear.
- Work environment includes wet/humid conditions, extreme cold, and mechanical parts.
- Noise levels vary from moderate to loud.
