Job summary

TrellisWare Technologies in San Diego is seeking an onsite Lab Support Technician to assist engineers with rework, SMT component handling, and prototype fabrication. You will perform fabrication and modification tasks on electronic and mechanical assemblies to support product development.

Requires five years of technician experience; IPC certifications are preferred. You will work with solder reflow processes, troubleshoot complex systems, maintain safety procedures, and help drive design

Qualifications

• At least five (5) years overall experience as a technician.
• Preference given to candidates with current IPC certifications (J-STD-001 and/or 7711-7721).

Responsibilities

• Performs fabrication, alterations and other technical work on electronic and mechanical components.
• Repairs and modifies electronic and mechanical assemblies.
• Removes, installs and reflows BGA components.
• Removes, replaces and installs SMT components as small as 0201.
• Responds rapidly to support programs with prototypes and last-minute fixes.
• Supports testing and debugging of electronic components.
• Contributes to safety procedures in lab work.
