Job summary

Onward Search seeks a Technician 2 to support development engineering efforts in a defense/high-technology environment. This on-site role in Talladega, AL involves building, testing, and troubleshooting electronics and electro-mechanical prototypes under supervision.

You will follow schematics, perform tests, isolate faults, and collect data using diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, VOM, DVM, and signal generators. Strong teamwork and safety training are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent electronics training required.
• Safety and ESD training within 12 months of start date.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electronics using schematics and test equipment.
• Ability to follow verbal instructions and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic and electro-mechanical prototypes or test equipment under supervision.
• Follow schematics and written instructions to test and assemble prototypes.
• Conduct operational tests and isolate faults to meet design specs.
• Diagnose malfunctions to component level for repair or analysis.
• Collect data during engineering tests using diagnostic tools (oscilloscopes, VOM, DVM, signal generators).
