Job summary

Onward Search is seeking an Electronics Technician 2 for an on-site, temporary role supporting a defense and aerospace technology team. You will test, troubleshoot, and assemble electronic and electro-mechanical systems, following schematics and instructions to complete environmental tests and prototype builds.

The position involves collecting data with diagnostic tools like oscilloscopes and signal generators, performing fault isolation, and assisting with development projects.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in electronics, or military electronics training with theory knowledge.
• Training within one year in ESD, safety and FOD prevention.
• Ability to troubleshoot, test and repair electronic devices using schematics and test equipment.
• Good teamwork and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine testing, troubleshooting, and assembly of electronic and electro-mechanical systems under supervision.
• Follow schematics, diagrams, and written instructions to conduct environmental testing and prototype assembly.
• Conduct operational tests and identify malfunctions down to the component level to ensure specifications are met.
• Collect data during defined engineering tests and utilize diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes and signal generators.
• Support development projects by performing assembly, modification, and fault isolation tasks.

• Ability to troubleshoot, test, and repair electronic devices using schematics and test equipment.
• Good teamwork skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
• Experience in soldering and basic computer skills are a plus.
