Job summary

McCain Foods is seeking an Electronics & Instrumentation Technician - D for our Grand Island, Nebraska facility. The role involves advanced maintenance on plant equipment, including PLCs, control circuitry, and instrumentation such as temperature, pressure, and level transmitters.

The position operates on a 12-hour rotating night shift (6pm-6am). Responsibilities include troubleshooting, wiring, calibration, and installation of instrumentation, while adhering to safety guidelines and NEC/OSHA

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED; electronics background preferred.
Experience with electronics, refrigeration, pneumatics and hydraulics troubleshooting.
Ability to read and interpret company policy, safety rules, and maintenance instructions.
Must complete required level of TPC training modules.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance on computer hardware, AC/DC control circuitry, PLCs, and power distribution systems.
Run rigid conduit and pull wire.
Design and modify control circuitry for equipment.
Conduct preventative maintenance and troubleshoot electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
Calibrate, program, install, and troubleshoot instrumentation such as transmitters and valves.
Adhere to Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures and PPE requirements.
Respond to trouble calls and repair equipment safely.
