McCain Foods is seeking an Electronics & Instrumentation Technician to maintain electrical and control systems across production facilities. The role involves troubleshooting PLCs, programming PLCs/PCs, calibrating instruments, and ensuring compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, and OSHA standards.

It requires an Associate’s degree in electronics or a related field, 5+ years of maintenance experience (1+ in manufacturing), and Journeyman Electrician certification or pursuit thereof.

Qualifikationen

• Associate’s degree in Electronics or a related electrical field is required.
• 5+ years of relevant maintenance experience; 1+ year in a manufacturing environment.
• Journeyman Electrician certification or willingness to pursue through the state E&I program.
• Experienced in PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, industrial wiring; skilled in troubleshooting and repairing electromechanical equipment.
• Demonstrates strong technical ability, data entry accuracy, and clear communication in English.

Aufgaben

• Perform routine and complex maintenance, calibration, programming, and troubleshooting of electrical and control systems, including instrumentation and power distribution (AC/DC, VFDs, 480V three-phase).
• Design, install, and program control systems (PLCs/PCs), and assist with equipment improvements and upgrades.
• Read, interpret, and maintain accurate records of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical documentation, and work performed.
• Support, mentor, and train junior maintenance staff, ensuring a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
• Adhere to NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA regulations, and perform additional duties as assigned by supervisory staff.
